First semester (1)

It's been like five or six months since my first semester on university started and I'm not sure of what really happened.

Except for my already over personal troubles and vocational crisis, this semester was good. I had great grades and didn’t have difficulties with my studies. The problem was I got really bored. I loved the basic subjects but hated the specific journalism ones; they were like hell to me. Not because they were hard, I found them a lot easier than the basics, but they were so boring that I thought I was going to die in the middle of the class. Yeah, I’m studying Journalism and I think I don’t really like it. I was about to freeze the career, I talked to my mom and she agreed. I thought about moving to Literature in this university or Language Pedagogy in the University of Santiago. I’m not sure about that yet, but I hope and I can make up my mind before this semester ends.

I really wanted to study languages but I didn’t know how to do it, it was my first semester and I didn’t even know how to get to the ICEI. So this semester I’m doing English 4 and then I hope I can start studying French or Russian.

Although I’ve always been an independent person, it was not easy to get used to Santiago. I’m a small town girl, so living in a city where I can’t even breathe was hard at the begging. Getting along in this city was easy, I think it’s even easier than in my zone, here you can just use the subway and there are a lot of buses that go like everywhere. You can check the buses route on internet and send a text to know how many minutes you have to wait to the bus. It’s so easy! Anyway, I think my problem with this city is the air, and the fact I can’t have cats on my little room on Santiago’s heart —by the way, I love cats!
